Speak Out
Hmmm… we the women are not born to do house work. Yet why are we automatically expected to do it? If by any chance, we do not realize that it is a cue for us to move and do some work, someone (a man) would make sure to nudge us and tell us that we need to move. Even though, the someone would realize the need for work, yet they would never themselves do it, but rather sit around in the next room doing some lame thing or in the same room doing some other lame thing, yet they realize their responsibility to nudge. Even our religion doesn’t ask us to do housework. Bahrhaal… our society and its damn norms!

My Ranting
Thick lashes fall on dampened tender eyes,
Breaking strings of my lover's ties,
Softness of cheek and warmth of soul,
Has such tender story been told?
Folded in love, immersed in passion,
Intricately knitted in a delicate fashion,
All the fairies, all the maids,
Serves him in his heightened delight,
While he visits the fairy lands,
Sweet moans of pleasure escapes his lips
Frightened to touch, frightened to hold,
Fear of disturbing stillness been told
Calm as the tranquil grand blue sea,
For this wonderful enchantment I feel,
My heart feels warm as darkness creeps,
As I watch my baby sleep

those sleepy eyes, and ruffled hair
for all the world, she couldn't care,
lost in trans of bygone days,
her mind is in a misty haze,
but on her lips is a twist,
that drunken feeling...
that taste of high is still inside,
she is gazing at me,
but lost by miles,
every muscle satisfied,
i can tell,
she has no regrets!

Ashes fall, as the smoke begins to thin
No shouts, no sound, no scream
But its black, empty and fragile
Stay away, stay away!!
For it will leave its color on you
all will turn black, whether it was white or red or blue
it hurts, it cuts, it bleeds, it kills!!
When the pandemonium stops
I am alone, with lamentation
Why can't I forget you!!

In my post title, “Be Free”, I talked about how we are all our very own prisoners. Being a prisoner myself, I felt what I wrote, needs to be taken a bit further. I have been able to achieve few things over the time, but there is much more that needs to be done.
So, what’s the worst fear that is stopping us? In my opinion, that is
“letting go of the norm.”
We become so used to giving people the sort of behavior that they always expect from us that we fear that if we will diverge from our normal expected behaviors and routine, people will have a strong reaction. Sometimes, we, in our minds, build up that people around us really care what we do. People do care what we do, but not to the extent we think they do! Fine, there are few lines we dare not cross because we know it will have strong repercussions, however, many other times, there are things which affect only us, matters to only us, yet we are scared to break our norms, thinking, “
what people might think?”
So, the foremost thing which we need to realize is,
“People don’t care what we do, as much as we think they do”. We need to get down from our high pedestal and realize that not every action of ours is important to the rest of world as much as it is important to us. We are not that important.
So
realize what’s important to you,
break free and
“Let go of the norm”.
